Are you buying an iPhone X this week?
Apple's thousand dollar phone will be in a store near you on Friday. So, if you want one, how will you get one? Here are a few thoughts.
Plan to be up late on Thursday since Thursday, since pre-orders start on Friday, October 27 at 12:01 am PDT. That's 3:00a for you New Yorkers. Plan for slow servers as the world descends on Apple.com and the Apple store App. But online in your PJ's is still better than braving the cold and waiting in line at the nearest Apple store.
Member of Apple's Upgrade Program?
Then your in luck. You will get to start the upgrade process early. Over two years, the X will cost you $49.91 per month for the 64GB model, or $56.16 per month for the 256GB model.
Of course you can stand in line at the Apple store.
Looking for excitement? Or maybe a chance to be on the news? Make sure you wait in line at the most "Downtownish" Apple store available in your city. If you want your dignity, use the internet like the rest of us.
Rely on your phone carrier
Maybe "Brad" at your local at&t store will exchange a mocha-latte for holding an iPhone X just for you. Maybe I just suggested you commit a crime. Not sure; I am not a lawyer. Anyway, the carriers will have some phones - and their websites will have pre-order programs as well. If you are with at&t or Verizon you probably have better chances than the little guys. I am looking at you Sprint.
